After the startup I must confirm the launch of the Safetica. Can it be done automatically?
Neither Windows Vista nor Win7 allow the software producers to bypass the UAC (User Account Control) confirmation in case the applications that launch after startup demand administrator rights.
(according to Microsoft, the UAC would lose its significance this way)However, there is a way which allows the users to bypass the UAC with the use of Task Scheduler – Windows Tools.
Therefore, we have created a XML rule which you can import into this scheduler and change the group to “Users”.
- Download the rule from this address.
- Unpack onto the drive.
- Start ->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Task Scheduler.
- In the Task Scheduler choose Action->Import Task from the upper menu and from the drive choose a file Safetica-UAC-Startup-workaround.xml which you have unpacked.
- In a window which will now open – in tab General choose Change User or Group (now there information “!!! CHANGE THIS TO “Users” !!!”) and into the following dialogue enter “Users” – now you can confirm everything with OK.
- Reboot and it is done.
